The early evening meal was much appreciated and very tasteful. The bar staff were particularly helpful and friendly
Dislikes:
The rug in the bedroom is a trip hazzard, especially as the floor slopes badly at this point. I would asdvise moving it altogether.

The Manor House was perfect for my needs. The room was new remodled and very comfortable. The breakfast was a great start to both days I was there.

Cleanr,tidy room. Basic, but all you need for a pleasant stay. Very comfortable bed. Good value for money. Good location for visiting Hadrians Wall. Would stay there again. Staff very friendly. Quiet.
Dislikes:
Had the steak dinner. Asked for medium rare, got well done. Not big issues. Milk in coffe may have been off. Again not a deal breaker. All round pleasant lodging.

We arrived on Sunday evening about 6pm and although our internet booking had not been passed through to the person in charge of bookings, it was quickly remedied and many apologies received. The room and bathroom was spotless, had good night's sleep. Evening meal was hot and on hot plates (not like some places we've tried). Breakfast size and choice a very pleasant surprise as did not know what to expect as it was included in the room price. Will stay again when visiting local sites. Read less

Chatty, friendly owners. Room spotless and quiet, parking at rear of hotel. Frequented by locals so 'movement and life' in the main bar. Good value for money.

From stepping into the hotel we were made to feel welcome and the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful in getting us a taxi to the venue. The room was basic but lovely warm and clean, which is the main thing anyone needs - the bathroom had the biggest shower cubicle I'd ever been in and a brand new bathroom suite - lovely. Although the room was situated in a pub on a main street there was no noise at all and only woke we smelt the breakfast which was delicious. Read less
